But I've done some sums. We save just 49 cents an hour by doing 20 hours free. Repeat. We get something for free and we pay just 49c an hour less than what we were paying. Grrrrrrrr

Helen's had 9 good years - more than she gave Mike Moore, Jennie Shipley, Bill English or Don Brash. Surely she couldn't complain? She certainly shouldn't pray for reign - that would invite a divine clip round the earhole for hypocrisy, I expect (and you'd have to figure God would have big hands and a strong arm).
Isn't it amazing to hear Labour complaining bitterly about biased coverage? Considering most of us are not 3, and remember the 6+ years of fawning coverage they got... day after day it's "oh, isn't Helen a brilliant political operator".
On a completely different note, I was reminded yet again of the blind fundamentalist faith of Athiests after posting about the recovery of Law's daughter.
Do we know if it's just the cancer that's gone, or is the fungus gone too?
Maybe when atheists die, God gives them exactly what they were expecting?

I hadn't heard the latest news on Lucy (Michael Laws' daughter). Are you saying she is recovering? That would be fantastic news, and I wish the Laws family, and especially Lucy, all the best in these times.

Lucy had some kind of fungal infection, plus leukemia, and pneumonia.
A leading Italian Oncologist. Reckons he can supposedly cure 80% of Leukemia and some other cancers once he treats his patients against fungal infections first. Other antidotal evidence has linked some leukemia and cancers to fungal infections which damage the immune system allowing leukemia, etc to then occur.
