How Obama got elected

What I found the most interesting was how the people interviewed attributed dumb things said (mostly by Obama) to Sarah Palin. Scary.

  1. I suspect there are ignoramuses on both sides of the spectrum, although with record numbers of people voting for Obama, I'd say many did not make their vote based on politics, as this movie indicates.

I also saw the very funny Howard Stern video where he asked people about Republican policies as if they were Obama's - and got support for them anyway.

I wonder though how big their sample size was? Did they really just ask 12 people? Surely not?

  2. If you look at the link, you'll see the people chosen for the clip were "chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience."

  3. ...which i thinks means they hung around a polling booth and said "hey, you want to be in a film?". They actually surveyed 512 Obama voters in a phone poll and added those 12 interviews to get some buzz.

It certainly makes pretty depressing viewing but no more so than the "no arabs in the whitehouse", "what's his middle name"... rubbish that got filmed at McCain-Palin rallies.

  4. Seems that they even had to defend themselves against the lefty outcry.

    Ah, facts.

  5. If it weren't for laziness and ignorance the socialists and collectivists would have been extinct long ago.
