Kiwi export downturn

Now that the Labour Government has had its emissions capped by being sequestered to the opposition benches, the biggest exporter of Kiwis, Air New Zealand obviously expects a slump in overseas demand. They've laid off 200 staff, and used the code phrase "tourism slump" to signal to John Key, our minister of Tourism to pull his finger out and compensate for the larger number of Kiwis expected to stay home.

His first step could be to issue a product recall, and encourage Kiwis that have been overseas on holiday for more than 4 years to sell up and come home.

Now, what interesting economic package and improvement in Kiwi lifestyle might encourage such a move as jobs come under threat world wide?

Every setback brings with it fresh opportunities.
