Should anyone be barred from a sports team on the basis of their sexual orientation?

This is a very tricky question, one that is currently exercising a Federal Court in the United States of America.

The case arose after the team which finished second in the Gay Softball World Series was disqualified because three players weren't gay enough apparently.

I'm not sure how Liberals are going to get their heads around this one as it wends its way through the courts.
