Santorum not banning contraception

I opened the world section of the Dom Post and there was a whole article dedicated to bagging Rick Santorum. It started with his supposed wish to ban contraception. Everything he says is twisted and misconstrued, because the progressives and liberals in the media do not like any challenge to their ideas. Multi-culturalism and diversty for them actually relies on everyone adopting their values whilst wearing their ethnic clothes and cooking their ethnic meals.

The article went on to make several other sweeping statements, taking the negative angle and reporting nothing about him that would weaken their argument. One sided media sensationlism, and the Dom Post just copies and regurgitates.

Here's a link (don't know how long it will be up) where he explicitly states that contracpetion would not be outlawed, that it is a personal issue, and personally, he thinks easy access to contraception leads to more abortions, more single parent families and more STDs. Well, it probably does, but never warn a liberal about consequences, they'll spend all their time figuring that if they can make you a hypocrite it somehow negates the truth of the statement.

  1. That's nothing compared to what the Left will stoop to - check this out -

Syndicated sex columnist and LGBT activist Dan Savage didn't look kindly on [Santorum's view of homosexuality], and so he started a campaign to turn Santorum's surname into a sexual neologism. That campaign yielded "that frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex" as the word's definition and a website highlighting this was born. The website was subsequently linked to thousands of times, causing it to leap to the top of any search for the word "Santorum" or the name "Rick Santorum."

Apologies for the descriptions above, but imagine what kind of mindset you have to have to smear someone by organizing a campaign to connect their name with the vilest thing you can think of. This is also the same Dan Savage that -

… volunteered for the [Gary] Bauer campaign with the intent to infect the candidate with his flu. He wrote that he licked doorknobs and other objects in the campaign office, and handed Bauer a saliva-coated pen, hoping to pass the virus on to Bauer and his supporters[.]

Some of these people are worse than animals.

  4. LRO, I warned you I did not want to debate your fallacies, having provided links and evidence that flies in the face of your comments.

Therefore, trying to start that debate on a different thread where other readers will not have read the background is not an honourable tactic, and the more reason to delete your comment.

Also, you call Santorum a liar because I provide a direct quote to refute your allegations, and your logic is that he's telling the truth by inference, but lying when asked the question directly?

I don't have time to waste with that kind of logic. Promote that rubbish on your own blog.

  5. This was part of the tactic in one of the recent debates there for the moderator to try and push Democratic wedge issues at the candidates.

The Democrats then feigned outrage that the republicans were "ignorant" of such "hot button issues".
